Hancock Chimney

I just wanted to say thanks again to the techs who came to my house & kept Santa's Magic alive! My 8 year old took the "torn piece of Santa's suit" to school as evidence.

Many thanks for taking the time to come back and check the chimney.

Thank you for going out of your way to help me find the best solution to my leaky chimney.
I truly appreciate your return calls.

The technicians were very informative and friendly.  I learned a lot and will have you back out to do the necessary repairs.  Thanks again!

Thanks so much for arranging to have this work done right away.  The chimney looks great & I am looking forward to many fires this winter.

The Only Certified Chimney Service Company In Western Michigan

The Hancock Chimney Service CrewHancock Chimney Service Company was created by Ken Hancock in 1980 when the price of gas and oil reached a record high. Ken anticipated that the number of people burning wood for heat would increase and knew those chimneys would need maintenance for safe use.

Ken and his wife, Deanna, started sweeping chimneys after work and on weekends when they first started. They exhibited at home shows and county fairs, Ken in his top hat, answering many questions and educating the public about wood heat safety. They joined the National Chimney Sweep Guild and attended conventions and seminars to further their education in the wood heat industry. Soon business grew and they quit their day jobs, hired assistants and started sweeping chimneys full time.

Since those early days, Hancock Chimney Service has added many services including masonry repair, flue caps, waterproofing, liner installation and woodstove sales and installation. All of our technician/sweeps are Chimney Safety Institute of America Certified and National Fireplace Institute Certified. You will still see Ken up on the roofs and chimneys and Deanna answering the phone and scheduling the appointments, as we have kept our business small to ensure the quality, honesty and professionalism we have always prided ourselves upon.
